ABOUT THE COURSE / COURSE OVERVIEW
Swami Chinmayananda, the founder of Chinmaya Mission, initiated a unique method to study Vedanta at home through easy lessons. These lessons were developed by Chinmaya International Foundation (https://chinfo.org/) and are made available from Chinmaya Mission UK’s Chinmaya Academy. The primary aim of this Home Study Course is to introduce you to the timeless Vedantic Philosophy and to enable you to apply its priceless wisdom in your day-to-day life. You will be able to study the whole course online and there are some questions to complete as homework for you to do in your own time. We will be holding plenary sessions with all attendees at regular intervals to help enhance student learning through discussion with the course tutor. At the end of the course you will be asked to complete an assignment and submit this by email to your course tutor for assessment. There is no need for one to change one’s faith, religion or spiritual master to do this Foundation Vedanta Course.
The course is set to take 24 weeks. The course comprises of twenty four parts and twelve questionnaires. You can register from our website and once payment is received your registration for the Course will be activated. You can then access your Course through Your Account Area > Student Dashboard > Courses.
COURSE OBJECTIVES / REWARDS
The philosophy of Vedanta gives the right vision of life. It enables an individual to face the situations and problems of life, be it in his profession, family or inter-personal relationships, with ease and dexterity. Clarity of thinking and right vision of life enables peace of mind and efficient living. Spiritual seekers shall be able to understand what spirituality is all about and they could walk the path of sadhana effectively.
COURSE ELIGIBILITY
Any individual who seeks to know the Vedantic Philosophy and earnestly wishes to apply it in their life is welcome to join this Foundation Vedanta Course. It is not required for students to know Sanskrit. This is not a course for the attainment of mere academic knowledge, it is rather aimed at transforming oneself. For taking this course basic computer knowledge is required as it is delivered online only.
